President of Vietnam arrives to Egypt on four-day visit

He is scheduled to meet president Al-Sis

USPA NEWS - President of Vietnam Trần Đại Quang is to meet with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Monday as part of his four day visit to Cairo.
The visit that will begin on Saturday aiming to enhance relations between Vietnam and Egypt, and exchange experiences, develop co- operation in economy, trade and investment, as well as seek opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, culture and tourism.

Quang will visit the house of representatives to meet with Parliament speaker Ali Abdul Aal.

The Vietnamese President will also head to Luxor, where he will visit the temples of Luxor and Kar- nak, the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahr.

In September 2017, President Al- Sisi visited Vietnam which marked the first visit of the Egyptian President, and during the visit both leaders agreed to celebrate this year´s 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.

Quanq said during an interview with the state-run media outlet Vietnam that Egypt is Vietnam´s fifth largest trade partner in Africa.

He also added that “Bilateral trade turnover has been steadily increasing year by year, with the first half of 2018 alone registering a 44%

year-on-year increase.“
Vietnam and Egypt´s historic

ties and cooperation date back to 1958, when Vietnam established a representative office trade in Egypt, then in 1963 Vietnam and Egypt officially announced their diplomatic relations, as Vietnam opened an embassy in Cairo and in the following year Egypt opened its embassy in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
