USPA NEWS - French President confirmed "The Egyptian authorities have just informed me their intention to acquire 24 Rafale combat aircraft and a multi-mission frigate and associated equipment. This equipment will allow Egypt to increase its security and to play its role in the service of regional stabilility"

This is a first for the French state with the first export contract of "The Rafale fighter." According to the French president, "The State is fully committed to this negotiation and its involvement has enabled the conclusions of this contract." The signing took place in Cairo on February 16 by the French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, in the name of France...The sale of 24 Rafale to Egypt is already meorable since last Monday as a personal victory for the French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, ardent promoter of the French aerospace and defence industry and the origin of this first export success of the french fighter. The French minsiter of Defence, can take credit for this long and fruitful negotiations to sell these weapons fighting manufactured by the French Dassault Group.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THIS SALE IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE PERSONAL SUCCESS OF JEAN YVES LE DRIAN----------------------------------- Until then, the Rafale had suffered six failures for export. Dassault is in exclusive talks since January 2012 with India for 126 Rafale, and discussions are continuing with Qatar (36 devices). For his part, Egyptian President Instructs its collaborator, General Al Assar, to lead the talks and demand, during a visit to Paris on November 26, dinner one-on-one with Jean-Yves Le Drian to 'hotel de Brienne, home to the french Ministry of Defence. There he states his intentions: 24 Rafale and a frigate. "Jean-Yves Le Drian called me to tell me: I believe that Egypt has a real need for combat aircraft Rafale and is interested in," he told Eric Trappier, the CEO of Dassault aviation, which manufactures the Rafale. WHO IS JEAN YVES LE DRIAN ?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jean-Yves Le Drian was born in 1947, in Lorient-Brittany-, France. He is a French politician who is a member of the French Socialist Party and serves as the Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs under Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault since 2012. Since then, he has been managing the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan and the deployment of French troops in the ongoing Northern Mali conflict and Operation Barkhane. "The Defence Minister receives the award from the Minister of the Year 2013, awarded by the Trombinoscope awarded by a jury of 120 journalists from print and broadcast media that designates each year political figures of the year." Jean-Yves Le Drian has been particularly exposed to the front of the stage that year 2013 with the French involvement in Mali and the Central African Republic, the development of the Defence White Paper and the adoption of a law on military programming (LPM) 2014-2019. Jean Yves Le Drian owes its media success and in the field to his perseverent temperament and serene in extreme situations, like when he has to manage situations of war (Mali, Afghanistan operations) and/or when it comes to conducting negotiations of selling heavy weapons.
